These long Afghan dangle-earrings were handcrafted during the mid-1900's the nomadic Gujjar (Gurjar) tribe of Jalalabad in Central Asia.
They are vintage tribal jewelry earrings - not new reproductions. Since these items are vintage, they may have a wonderful, aged patina and are not meant or expected to look brand new.
Distinctively Gujjari, they have large hoops with colorfully beaded accents and long clattering charm-dangles.
About GUJJAR: A socially diverse community, Gujjar (Gurjar) people have inhabited India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan for centuries. While many are agriculturalists and tradespeople, many others live a nomadic tribal lifestyle. The Gurjar population mostly centers in Rajasthan, India, although small groups are found in nearby countries to the north.
